The Beatards have made their home in New York City. The three eclectic innovators: DJO, Chuck Wild, and UTK the INC, started the innovative MIXTAPE RIOT! parties where artist such as Santigold, Spank Rock, Trouble Andrew, Kudu and over 60 others have performed at. The Beatards blend a popular variety of hip-hop, electronic, punk, and international sounds that reflect upon the band’s diverse individual backgrounds and collective global experience. In recent months they have performed around the country in popular venues and clubs sharing the stage with artists such as Public Enemy, Mr. Lif, Shwayze, Bang Camero, LMFAO, Kid Cudi, Lady Sovereign, to name a few.
In March of 09, The Beatards performed multiple showcases at the South-by-South West Festival in Austin Texas. In September they will be featured on an upcoming compilation for Santastic Clothing in Japan alongside Wale, Travis McCoy from Gym Class Hero’s, Kid Cudi and others. The licensing request are pouring in and the group has over 10 placements in June alone on shows such as The City, Parental Control, Road Rules and 6 songs in the premier of Real World Cancun. The Beatards just released an exclusive track for the popular clothing brand, “Upper Playground” which has been featured on the brand’s web site for a month. They are working with other independent and major brands such as: PUMA, Red Bull, Sparks, AMP, N Brown Clothing, and 10 Deep to name a few.
The group’s remixes are spread all over the web and have been featured in many popular blogs and DJ sites. Chuck Wild, the groups, primary producer recently completed remixes for Alice Russell, LMFAO, The Virgins, Mayer Hawthorne, Rye Rye, Miz Metro, and the list goes on. A fire has been lit and heads are starting to turn in the industry. The group’s fan base is growing every day and their live show is so energy packed it leaves bodies sweaty on the dance floor. The Beatards make music for the NEW generation. Don’t be afraid of these big bad beats. After all, some things are better outside of the box.
